In a contextual and cultural narrative pertaining to the “corner” and its relationship to experiential dining, the culinary theater “PLAY.HOUSE”, aims to curate an evolving dining experience that displays the operations and craftsmanship of the educational facility in a cinematic way. The Restaurant becomes the cinematic event of the evenings. A cultural volume of ever-changing performances is dependent on the studies of culinary students. Creating a stage for the performance of food, for a dining hall full of hungry spectators. The Corner condition becomes the circulatory connective object that facilitates the transitional moments within the site conditions. Transitions include elevation, regional, and programmatic spaces. The motion from street level into the assenting spiral staircases dematerializes the transitional differences and prepares the subjects for the culinary arts of the performance volume.
