Within its structural Confinement, suspended volumes and program spaces shift between the grid lines to curate habitable positive and negative spaces. Much like Rocks entangled in tree roots. The Woodland Circuit is a modular boat-building school completely involved in understanding the sequence of the part to the whole. The wood-framed pods of the program suspended within the heavy steel framing strip the structural elements from the interior of the building to the outside. The Patri is similar to a steel framed bridge with small birdhouse wood boxes wedged within the trusses.

The Narrative is particularly appropriate for a boat building school considering the process of boat building consists of the many parts making a whole through a series of suspensions and internal to external structuring. The Program consists of all the necessary classroom and maker spaces to complete wood boat construction. The massing orientation makes the structure a telescope as it protrudes toward the water. The landscape accommodates all circulation intersections such as boat movement, pedestrian, and material delivery. The changes in elevation suspension give the building a science of hierarchy as one experiences each zone and pod.
